
Senior level management role within the Private Equity Services Business Unit of the Alternative Investment Services Group. Manager is responsible for overall coordination, direction and supervision of the Investor Services function across all PEFS locations reporting into the Senior Vice President of the Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the overall operation, direction and training of the investor services unit and its departmental managers and staff.
2. Represent the Private Equity Unit internally and externally as a senior executive of State Street.
3. Provide support for and effectively communicate broad overall company initiatives and goals to managers and staff within the investor services unit.
4. Manage relationships with clients at a senior level to ensure consistent high quality service.
5. Participate with other senior managers within the business unit to develop ideas for new services and to expand business opportunities that better meet client needs.
6. Participate in the new business deal team and assist in coordinating proposals and client presentations for new business.
7. Responsible for budget and staffing projections and monitoring and approving such expenses for the investor services unit.
8. Assist management to assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions to streamline and improve efficiency and service quality for both the investor services unit and the overall Private Equity Business Unit.
9. Ensure that process controls and procedures are applied consistently within the investor services unit to meet consistent high quality service standards.
10. Coordinate performance evaluations of direct reports.
11. Work with human resources to handle personnel related issues.
12. Spearhead special projects and serve on committees and task force assignments for the Private Equity Unit.
13. Provide leadership in areas outside of the division as opportunities arise.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of experience in a financial services organization preferably within an investor services or transfer agency function. Four or more years of managerial experience is also required and specific experience in the private equity industry is preferred.
